Mine Barışık is a contemporary visual artist from Turkey. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department at Sakarya University. Over the past 20 years, she has developed an interdisciplinary practice that combines painting, installation, and ecological art.
She studied in Italy and has worked extensively in Romania, France, and the UK through Erasmus+ and cultural exchange programs. Her artistic work often reuses discarded and transformed materials particularly fishing nets and sea waste to explore themes of memory, displacement, and environmental sustainability.
In addition to her artistic practice, Barışık has taught painting and visual arts at Istanbul University, Akdeniz University, and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Art Centers, where she has shared her experience with students of diverse ages and backgrounds.
Through her projects, Mine Barışık aims to create a dialogue between art, society, and ecology, inviting audiences into transformative experiences.
